ChampionScott Partners is pleased to announce Shane Hand’s appointment as Head of Global Marketing and Business Management at Valent BioSciences, a Sumitomo Chemical company and leading provider of biorational solutions for agriculture, public health, and forest health applications. Shane bring with him exceptional leadership expertise in marketing, business operations, and product development within the agriculture industry.

Shane joins Valent BioSciences from Southern Ag Services, where he served as Chief Revenue/Operating Officer and directed AgTech growth initiatives and successfully expanded service offerings reaching over 1 million acres across the Midsouth region. Previously, Shane was CEO at Ag TechInventures, where he performed all CXO responsibilities, and managed and secured over $10M in investor funding. Shane held leadership roles at Ernst & Young Global Consulting Services, Acadian Plant Health, Bayer CropScience, and Rhone-Poulenc Ag Company. In 2017 Shane founded an AgVisement, an agribusiness management consulting and leadership firm.

Shane earned both his Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Entomology from Mississippi State University. He also received his MBA from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland.
