Geoffrey M. Champion Chairman & CEO

Geoff Champion is Chairman & CEO and founding partner of our firm. He is a true internationalist having lived and worked in Korea, Germany, Holland, London and throughout the United States.

Geoff’s industry experience entails working at the most senior “C” levels for large scale and middle market companies in the United States, Europe and Asia. He has conducted board, CEO and senior executive appointments for leading edge companies in the digital media, business to business services, telecommunications, consumer, educational services and financial technology sectors throughout the world. His extensive international experience and North American heritage have allowed him to successfully develop client and firm wide relationships based on a comprehensive and unique understanding of the critical success factors for building and growing businesses globally.

Roy King Managing Director

Based in Boston, Roy King is a Managing Director with ChampionScott Partners. Roy possesses extensive technology, business and strategic consulting services experience developed through his 30 year career. His experience has encompassed leading businesses through significant growth and transformation while working closely with boards, HR communities, and leadership teams to achieve strategic, operational and financial objectives, as well as completing successful investor exits.

Prior to joining ChampionScott, Roy led a $1.5B global consulting and systems integration business for CSC. In this role, he had direct responsibility for 8,000 professionals worldwide and his teams focused on technology and industry consulting for GBS. He also provided consulting leadership for Cyber, Cloud, Big Data and NPS offerings. Before his time at CSC, Roy led publicly traded and private equity backed software businesses as CEO, managed a technology-enabled HR outsourcing solutions company as COO, and was General Manager for IBM’s global consulting and industry solutions business in Europe with $3.5 B in revenue and 10,000 employees. Prior to his leadership roles as an operating executive or board member, he worked with clients worldwide on strategy, operations and technology engagements as a Partner with Booz-Allen and KPMG.

Christopher R. Messing Principal

Based in Boston, Chris Messing is a Principal and founding member of our firm. Chris joined ChampionScott Partners as a Senior Associate partnering with technology, business services and private equity customers, and laying the foundation and implementing our research best-practices and methodologies for key client appointments. He has considerable experience in the executive recruitment industry having partnered and led as an integral team member on hundreds of senior executive appointment engagements for leading companies over his nearly 20 year search career.

Chris is instrumental in the development and qualification of appointed candidates for leading Fortune 1000, growth / early-stage / mid-cap, venture and private equity company clients. He executes and manages searches at the Board, CEO, and senior executive levels spanning general management, sales, marketing, finance, information technology and professional services functions.

Jackey Bennett Director of Operations & Marketing

Based in Boston, Jackey is our Director of Operations & Marketing. Jackey is responsible for overseeing all operational and marketing aspects of our firm. She is also the liaison for client and candidate meeting coordination, preparation and logistics. Jackey’s diligence ensures continued efficiency throughout the search process.

Prior to joining ChampionScott in 2010 as our Strategic Relationship Manager, Jackey was Manager of Corporate Administration at MRINetwork-The Boston Group, a contingent executive search firm. Jackey joined MRI Boston as an Administrative Assistant and was promoted to Manager in their corporate office within her first 9 months of joining the firm. While at MRI, Jackey was responsible for managing the administration of a five office New England franchise and handled a variety of administrative, human resource, finance, and IT functions.

Melissa LeMoine Research Associate

Based in Boston, Melissa LeMoine is a Research Associate of our firm. Melissa began her career at ChampionScott Partners in 2012. She leads and develops research strategy for senior search partners across all functions within the technology, digital media, business to business services, and outsourcing industries globally. She supports the executive search process through generating focused target lists and identifying qualified executives for senior leadership appointments. Melissa is also responsible for providing strategic business development support as ChampionScott continues to expand its global practice.

Prior to joining ChampionScott Partners, Melissa was an Executive Assistant at Rockland Community College (RCC), where she provided administrative support to the President and the Board of Trustees. While at RCC, Melissa was responsible for meeting coordination, preparation, and logistics.
