ChampionScott Partners is pleased to announce Markus Kremer’s appointment as Vice President of Global Operations and Manufacturing at Valent BioSciences, a Sumitomo Chemical company and leading provider of environmentally compatible technologies and products for agriculture, public health, forest health and household applications. Markus is an accomplished manufacturing operations leader bringing over 25 years of industry experience in biologicals, chemicals and polymers manufacturing to Valent BioSciences.

Markus joins Valent BioSciences from Kerry, a global manufacturer of pharmaceutical ingredients, probiotics, and fermented food protection and preservation products, where he most recently led as Director of North American Operations for Applied Health & Nutrition, Kerry’s growth division.  Here Markus managed 15 manufacturing sites across North America and an aggressive growth plan that encompassed due diligence and integration of strategic acquisitions.  Prior to Kerry, Markus gained substantial experience in facilities engineering, plant and operations management over a 13 year run at Novozymes and predecessors, ultimately rising to lead as Director of Global BioAg Operations.  Markus progressed his career in process engineering and plant leadership roles of increasing responsibility at companies such as Sun Chemical Inc., Valspar, Morton International, Monsanto Chemical and GE Plastics.

Markus earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of Cincinnati, and his M.B.A. from DePaul University.
