Valent BioSciences Appoints Sarah McHatton as VP, Global R&D

ChampionScott Partners is pleased to announce Sarah McHatton’s appointment as Vice President, Global R&D and Regulatory Affairs at Valent BioSciences, a Sumitomo Chemical company and leading provider of biorational solutions for agriculture, public health, and forest health applications. Sarah brings a wealth of Research and Development expertise in the Biotechnology space with her to Valent.

Sarah built her career over the last 20+ years at Novozymes beginning as a Senior Scientist in 2001 and concluding as Director of BioAg Applications Research & RTP Site Leader. Most recently, Sarah was charged with Overseeing R&D for the biocontrol and biofertility portfolios for the BioAg division of Novozymes. She headed the global BioAg Applications Research team that conducted bench, controlled environment, and field trials on plant-beneficial microbes and metabolites while acting as Site lead at two Novozymes facilities in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.

Sarah earned her B.S. in Biology from the University of Michigan and her M.S and Microbiology from the University of California, Davis.
