ChampionScott Partners has placed Matthew Jones as Business Analyst at Realization Technologies. He brings extensive experience in financial analysis and project management from both venture capital firms and financial companies. Mr. Jones will report to the CEO.
Mr. Jones joins Realization from Tejas Securities where he was involved in the analysis of distressed and high yield corporate debt, high yield municipal bonds, mortgage-backed securities and special situation securities. Mr. Jones was instrumental in providing the recommendations to institutional investors resulting in more than $500M in transacted principal. Mr. Jones was subsequently nominated for “Best Analyst on Wall Street” in the Institutional Investor Survey.
Prior to joining Tejas Securities, Mr. Jones was an analyst at Eastbourne Capital managing the $350M position in General Motors distressed debt. He also collaborated on the analysis of a successful proxy contest for seats on Amylin Pharmaceuticals’ Board of Directors. Prior to Eastbourne Capital, Mr. Jones was an analyst at Pantheon Ventures and worked as Budget Director on the Westley for Governor Campaign.
Mr. Jones received a B.A. in Political Science from UC Berkeley.
