Juergen Woehl appointed Chief Operating Officer at MicroProbe

ChampionScott Partners announces the placement of Juergen Woehl as Chief Operating Officer to MicroProbe, a leading supplier of wafer test technology to the global semiconductor industry. Mr. Woehl has over 25 years experience in the semiconductor industry, and specifically engineering, manufacturing and R&D.

Mr. Woehl joins MicroProbe from International Rectifier where he was General Manager and Vice President of Operations from 2006-2011. Prior to International Rectifier, Mr. Woehl was General Manager of Sematech-ATDF, utilizing his engineering expertise to set up several highly successful production lines in Germany. He turned the business around while leading the company to profitability.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Woehl held management positions at Infineon where he was Fab Director of the wafer fab line managing a team of 250 engineers, and at ON Semiconductor based in Piestany, Slovakia. He began his career at IBM in 1981.

Mr. Woehl is presently writing his PhD dissertation at Capella University on lean manufacturing. He earned his B.S. in chemistry from the Fachhochschule in Aalen, Germany and an M.B.A. from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas.
