ChampionScott Partners announces the appointment of Greg Freiberg as Chief Financial Officer at Dex One. Mr. Freiberg brings a strong career of senior finance positions at leading global technology companies, including Savvis, XO Holdings, Asia Netcom, Level 3 Communications and MCI.

Mr. Freiberg most recently served as the CFO at Savvis, a $1 billion global outsourcing data center provider, where he was responsible for strategy and execution of the business model and acquisitions.  He led the company through a transformation which resulted in double digit year-over-year revenue and EBITDA growth. He was also a principle architect of the company’s merger with CenturyLink, Inc., completed in July 2011.

Prior to Savvis, Mr. Freiberg was the CFO of XO Holdings, a Fortune 1000 telecom and broadband fixed wireless company.  While serving as CFO at XO Holdings, Mr. Freiberg successfully crafted a series of initiatives to strengthen the company’s balance sheet, drive growth in new revenue streams and decrease debt. He also held positions as Senior Vice President of Finance with Asia Netcom /Asia Global Crossing, Senior Vice President for Level 3 Communications, and CFO for MCI-WorldCom in the Asia Pacific.

 

Mr. Freiberg received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota. He also served in the U.S. Army National Guard, rising to Captain and Infantry Company Commander.
