ChampionScott Partners announces the successful appointment of Daniel F. Farrar as Chief Executive Officer of ezRez Software. This search was completed in less than 90 days.
Mr. Farrar’s experience includes more than 25 years of corporate management and strategic development experience with venture-backed software companies, private equity firms and Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Farrar joins ezRez from OPENLANE, a privately held online auction company that uses a proprietary software and registration system of wholesalers and dealers to buy and remarket vehicles, where he served as Chief Executive Officer.
Prior to OPENLANE, Mr. Farrar was as a General Partner of Morgenthaler in the Leveraged Buyout Group. He was responsible for sourcing, screening and deal valuation, driving operating results, board representation and executing value creation plans for a $3 billion fund. Prior to Morgenthaler, Mr. Farrar spent 16 years with GE Capital Company, where he held a number of executive positions including President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Fleet Services and GE Capital Fleet Services Europe. He also served as Senior Vice President of North American operations of GE Capital Fleet Services USA, and Managing Director and Group General Manager of GE Capital Fleet Services UK.
Mr. Farrar formerly served as Chairman of the Boards of Comm-Works Holdings, LLC and GreenRoad Technologies, Inc. He was also a Director of the Boards of Precision Parts International and Formed Fiber Technologies, and served as non-executive director of Aegis Group plc. Mr. Farrar earned his Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and his MBA from Harvard University.
