ChampionScott Partners recruits Chris Hobson as Chief Operating Officer at txteagle. Mr. Hobson has over 17 years of leadership experience in early stage companies accelerating businesses from concept to successful exits.

Most recently, Mr. Hobson was President and Chief Operating Officer at BandGap Engineering, where he raised the initial seed investment and Series-A financing from NEA, Sumitomo, and MGEF. Prior to BandGap, Mr. Hobson served as Chief Marketing Officer at Cortera (formerly eCredit.com), a start-up providing credit & collections software and information to the Global 5000. While at Cortera, he re-launched the company’s new branding initiatives and introduced four new products. Mr. Hobson contributed to the sale of the company to Fidelity Ventures.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Hobson held leadership positions at Divine (formerly Open Market), Highwired.com and worked for four years Proctor & Gamble.

Mr. Hobson earned his MBA from Harvard Business School, and a BA from McGill University.
