Doug Shinsato joins as Managing Director & Japan Practice Leader

ChampionScott Partners, the world’s premier retained executive search firm focused on the technology industry and related sectors, announces that Doug Shinsato has joined as Managing Director and Japan Practice Leader. Doug is a bilingual, bicultural Japanese-American executive who had a long and highly successful career in consulting and sales-driven corporate management roles.

Prior to joining ChampionScott Partners, Doug served as the Japan President for leading technology companies PTC and Siebel Systems, and as head of Asia Pacific for Autodesk, Interactive Intelligence and Genesys Labs, He was a Board Director for Deloitte Tohmatsu Japan, where he led a 500+ person consulting group in Tokyo. Doug also served as the Regional Vice President in charge of the management services and IT consulting practices at EDS/A.T. Kearney in Japan, where he was also a Board Member for EDS’ Japanese operations. Earlier in his career, Doug worked in Japan as a strategy consultant focused on information and communications technology for the Boston Consulting Group and Price Waterhouse.

Doug received his BA and MBA from the University of Southern California, and a JD from Stanford Law School. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at the Graduate Business School of Sophia University in Tokyo.
