ChampionScott Partners is pleased to announce Sarah McHatton’s appointment as Vice President of Global R&D and Regulatory Affairs at Valent BioSciences, a Sumitomo Chemical company and leading provider of environmentally compatible technologies and products for agriculture, public health, forest health and household applications. Sarah brings her extensive bio-agriculture Research and Development leadership expertise to Valent BioSciences.
Sarah built an impressive career over the last 20+ years at Novozymes beginning as a Senior Scientist in 2001 and advancing to R&D leadership roles of increasing responsibility, ultimately concluding as Director of BioAg Applications Research and the RTP Site Leader. In her most recent role, Sarah oversaw R&D for the biocontrol and biofertility portfolios for Novozymes’ BioAg division, leading the global BioAg Applications Research team that focused on plant-beneficial microbes and metabolites. In parallel, she served as Site lead for two facilities in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
Sarah earned her B.S. in Biology from the University of Michigan and her M.S and Ph.D.in Microbiology from the University of California, Davis.
