Austen and Ray are both exceptional additions to the board of directors having both recently run multibillion-dollar organizations. Combined they bring decades of strategic leadership experience and vision in retail technologies to Tidel.
Ray most recently led as VP & GM of the Retail Global Business Unit at Oracle. Previously Ray served as VP & GM of Hewlett Packard’s Retail Solutions Global Business Unit; President & CEO of StoreNext Retail Technologies; and Executive Vice President of Retalix. Ray became CEO of Zaiq Technologies following a 20-year career at NCR where he progressed through several leadership roles including: Senior Vice President of the Americas Region; Vice President of Worldwide Industry Marketing; and Vice President of US Retail Systems Division. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Pace University.
Austen most recently led as President and CEO of Ziosk, the first entertainment, ordering and pay-at-the-table tablet touchscreen for the casual dining restaurant market. He spent the previous 5 years in senior sales and business leadership roles at Microsoft culminating as Corporate Vice President of the Communications Sector. Prior Austen enjoyed a 22-year career with Fujitsu where he ultimately led as President and CEO of Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc. Austen earned his LLB (Honors) in Law from Nottingham University.
