ChampionScott Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Salman Mir as Vice President, Global Marketing & Business Management at Valent BioSciences Corporation (VBC).  Mr. Mir brings over twenty years of sales, marketing, operations and business development experience with major global crop protection companies in domestic and global roles.

Mr. Mir will lead Valent BioScience’s global marketing and business management undertakings in the areas of agriculture, forestry and public health.  Mr. Mir joins VBC from Gowan Company, a leading provider of crop protection solutions, where he was most recently Director of Global Marketing.  Previously he was Director of Strategic Sourcing; and he also served as General Manager, North America for Canyon Group LLC, a joint venture between Gowan and a Japanese company.

Mr. Mir built his career with FMC Corporation over a span of 14 years in a series of sales, business development, and marketing leadership roles beginning in South Asia and culminating in the position of Global Marketing Manager. 

Mr. Mir speaks English, Urdu, Punjabi, Bahasa Indonesia and Malay.  He holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences in Lahore, Pakistan, and his Masters in Business Administration from Lahore University of Management Sciences.
