ChampionScott Partners is pleased to announce the placement of Nicholas (Nick) Schacht as Chief Operating Officer of PetroSkills, the leading provider of technical training, consulting and software solutions for the oil and gas industry. Mr. Schacht has held leadership roles in the training, education and e-Learning industries for 25 years and possesses extensive experience in all facets of training company management and international operations.

Mr. Schacht joins PetroSkills from Learning Tree International, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer since 2005, and, prior to that, as Chief Operating Officer since 2002. Mr. Schacht led the global operations for this $130M+ publicly traded instructor-led classroom training and education company operating in six countries.
Prior to Learning Tree International, Mr. Schacht was President of GlobalLearningSystems from 1999 to 2002, Group President for the Institute for International Research from 1998 to 1999, and held a variety of leadership roles with ESI International from 1989 to 1998, culminating his tenure there as the company’s President. Earlier in his career, Mr. Schacht was a Research Fellow with Logistics Management Institute, and from 1981 to 1987 he served as a U.S. Naval officer.
Mr. Schacht holds a B.S. degree with honors from the U.S. Naval Academy, a Master’s degree in General Administration from the University of Maryland, and an M.S. Information Systems Technology from The George Washington University.
