ChampionScott Partners has placed executive Peter Bauert as Chief Operating Officer at Parallels, formerly SWsoft. Parallels has over 900 employees and is a worldwide leader in virtualization and automation software that optimizes computing for consumers, businesses, and service providers across all major hardware, operating systems, and virtualization platforms (http://www.parallels.com). Parallels investors include: Intel Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners and Insight Venture Partners.

Mr. Bauert, who will be based at Parallels newly established operations headquarters near Zurich, Switzerland, brings a range of experience from his career as EVP, Strategy & Operations at Fast Search & Transfer (FAST). While at FAST, he was responsible for strategy, corporate development, financial operations, human resources, IT systems and all activities relating to business development. Prior to joining FAST in 2002, Mr. Bauert held executive positions at various early-stage technology companies, including CFO at SalesDriver (sold to Carlson) and VP Corporate Development at Cybergold (sold to MyPoints).

Mr. Bauert earned an MBA from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College where he graduated with highest distinction as a Tuck Scholar. Previously, he earned a BS in Computer Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a MS in Computer Engineering from University of Central Florida.
