ChampionScott Partners is thrilled to announce the appointment of Virginia Buttala as Vice President, Human Resources at the Valent Group of Companies (VGC), a global leader in the development and commercialization of both traditional chemical products and biorational products.  Virginia will have overall responsibility for the VGC Human Resources function, leading the HR team that supports Valent U.S.A.; Valent BioSciences; Pace International LLC; and Mycorrhizal Applications, LLC businesses.

Virginia joins Valent from Royal Adhesives & Sealants, a leading global manufacturer and marketer of high performance specialty chemicals, where she was part of a leadership team that delivered on growth strategy over 7 years under 2 separate private equity owners and an eventual successful sale to H.B. Fuller Company. Previously, Virginia spent 16 years in successive human resources leadership roles at Velsicol Chemical Corporation and later the spun-out Genovique Specialties Corporation, both leading global producers of specialty chemicals.

Virginia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston Illinois.
