Dr. Marwan Hassoun Appointed Senior VP Engineering of KeyEye Communications

September 2005 - ChampionScott Partners has placed Dr. Marwan Hassoun as the Senior Vice President of Engineering for KeyEye Communications (www.keyeye.net). KeyEye is a fabless semiconductor company developing 10 Gbps copper-media transceivers including communications system design, communications algorithms, analog and mixed-signal design, Digital System and DSP design, and VLSI integration. KeyEye is funded by Menlo Ventures, American River Ventures, Blueprint Ventures and Technology Funding.

Dr. Hassoun joins KeyEye from Xilinx, where he was the Senior Director of Engineering for the Communications Technology Division. Prior to Xilinx, Dr. Hassoun co-founded MadMax Optics, Inc. Before MadMax, Dr. Hassoun was the Vice President of RocketChips, Inc. which was acquired by Xilinx in November 2000. In his earlier career, Dr. Hassoun conducted research and taught classes as a professor at the Iowa State University.
