Mark Konopacky Placed as Vice President of Worldwide Sales at POWERPRECISE

July 2006 - ChampionScott Partners has placed Mark Konopacky as the Vice President of Worldwide Sales for POWERPRECISE (http://www.powerprecise.com/). POWERPRECISE is a fabless semiconductor and battery management solutions company based in the technology corridor of Northern Virginia. POWERPRECISE develops and markets battery management ICs and integrated solutions for military and commercial applications. Based on its unique patented Virtual Analog™ technology, POWERPRECISE chips outperform other solutions through the use of its breakthrough signal processing techniques. The company developed the industry’s highest accuracy gas gauging (battery capacity circuit) for both primary and rechargeable packs. POWERPRECISE is funded by OnPoint Technologies (US Army Venture Fund), PTI Ventures, and VentureTech Alliance (Venture capital arm of TSMC).

Mr. Konopacky joins POWERPRECISE from ChipX where he was the Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Prior to ChipX, Mr. Konopacky has over 25 years experience in semiconductor sales and was the Vice President of Sales for the Western US for eSilicon and VLSI Technology. Mr. Konopacky also held various senior sales and engineering positions at Philips Semiconductors, NEC Electronics and Motorola Semiconductor. In addition to his sales expertise, Mr. Konopacky has an extensive technical background, having worked in key engineering roles for Boeing, Delco Electronics, and Rockwell International.

Mr. Konopacky holds an MBA from the University of Oregon and a BS of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science from the Northrop Institute of Technology.
