Ray Holzworth Placed as Vice President of Manufacturing Operations at Magnum Semiconductor

June 2006 – ChampionScott Partners has placed Ray Holzworth as the Vice President of Manufacturing Operations at Magnum Semiconductor (http://www.magnumsemi.com). Magnum Semiconductor is a fabless semiconductor company headquartered in Milpitas, California, offering a complete set of chips, software, reference platforms, and engineering customization support for digital video recording, playback and management of audio and video content. The Magnum platforms also enable sharing entertainment via optical disc, flash disk and networking inside the home. Magnum Semiconductor is a spinout of Cirrus Logic Video Division and is a pre-IPO company funded by Investcorp, August Capital and Cirrus Logic.

Mr. Holzworth was most recently the Vice President of Operations at Atrua, a provider of intelligent touch control solutions and technology platform. With over 25 years of successful track record, Mr.Holzworth brings a wealth of expertise in high-volume product businesses. His leadership spans across manufacturing, engineering, and quality operations. Prior to joining Atrua, Mr. Holzworth served as vice president of operations at Transmeta Corporation, PLX Technology, and Triscend Corporation. He has also held senior leadership positions in operations and engineering at Advanced Micro Devices, ISD, Xircor, and Harris Semiconductor. Mr. Holzworth has directed globally distributed foundry, assembly, and engineering operations; managing quality and delivery processes for high-volume hardware and software products. Mr. Holzworth holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and MS in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from University of Florida, an MBA from San Jose State University, and a BA in Chemistry, Math, and Physics from Erskine College.
