Bob Goodman Appointed Chief Executive Officer of Phiar

May 2005 - ChampionScott Partners had placed Bob Goodman at Phiar (www.phiar.com) as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Based in Boulder, Phiar is an early stage company backed by Menlo Ventures applying the concepts of metal-insulator nanotechnology to terahertz-wave and ultra-high-speed electronic components. The result is a breakthrough platform technology that lends itself to multiple applications, including high-speed computing and communications, and the emerging field of terahertz imaging. Phiar has demonstrated basic devices and developed an extensive patent portfolio, and is in the process of developing initial commercial products with a leading global semiconductor company.

Prior to Phiar, Mr. Goodman was the Chief Executive Officer at Kentron Technologies, Inc. a global semiconductor business that provides innovative solutions to system OEMs to address the memory performance challenges in the PC, notebook, workstation, server and telecommunication marketplaces. Prior to Kentron, Bob was the CEO of Luxtron Corporation, a subsidiary of The Fairey Group, plc. Bob began his business career with Texas Instruments, and later joined Wyse Technology as a General Manager.
