Art Matin Placed as the Chief Executive Officer of TouchTunes

February 2007 - ChampionScott Partners has placed former Softricity chief executive Art Matin as the Chief Executive Officer at TouchTunes (http://www.touchtunes.com). TouchTunes provides the world's most popular digital-downloading jukeboxes. Its online network of 23,000 pay-per-play Internet jukeboxes in bars, restaurants, and other establishments throughout North America is the industry's largest, representing a market share of more than 60 percent.

Matin joined TouchTunes from Softricity, where he was CEO following a record year in which Softricity more than doubled its revenue, reached the 500 customer mark and saw the software virtualization market it pioneered hit the mainstream. Under Matin's leadership, the company was acquired by Microsoft on July 17, 2006.

Prior to Softricity, Matin was the EVP of Worldwide Sales for Veritas Software responsible for annual global enterprise software sales in excess of $2 billion. Previously, Matin was with Network Associates where he was the President at McAfee Security business unit and accounted for revenues of $750 million annually. In 1998, Matin joined Computer Associates as a Divisional Vice President. He held a number of executive management positions at CrossWorlds Software and IBM. Since December 2003, Matin has served as a director of the board at Switch and Data, a privately-held data center services business. Matin has a strong technology background, having started his career as a systems engineer and application developer for such organizations as Paragren Technologies and Wang Laboratories.

Matin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Rochester and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
